MIKE ANDERSON

Mike has a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and has been working in the fitness industry for over 20 years. After two years of working in club operations at Le Pli Health Club & Spa in Cambridge, Mike decided to pursue personal training as a full time career and spent the next six years training people of all shapes, sizes and ages. His fitness class clients ranged from pre-teens with cancer to athletes to people in their 80s. It was during this time that Mike began experimenting with the sport of triathlon, competing in his first sprint triathlon in the mid 90s. He has since completed over a dozen distance triathlons, including 3 Ironman triathlons. Mike has brought his love of the sport to the club by creating Wave's "Wanna Tri" program which has had over 40 participants compete in sprint and slightly longer, local triathlons. He recently became a I.T.C.A. Certified Triathlon Coach. He is CPR/AED certified from the American Heart Association and is also a certified Gravity® Instructor.

Laura is a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Class Instructor. She graduated Cum Laude, with a B.A. degree in Dance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Following graduation, her passion for movement and the body brought her to New York City where she began teaching various fitness classes to special population groups including: the MS Society of NYC, Arthritis Foundation, and In Fitness & In Health (a fitness center tailored to plus-sized women). Since her move back to the Boston area, she has continued her passion for fitness through personal training, Gravity training, small group training, and teaching group fitness classes. She uses her skills in Pre-Post Natal exercise, Kettlebells, aqua/yoga/pilates specific training, and sports conditioning as knowledge for training each of her clients as individuals. Her expertise in fitness also has her directing, instructing, and presenting seasonal Boot Camps, weight loss programs, and speeches on various information promoting healthy lifestyles. She is CPR/AED certified from the American Heart Association and Laura is also a certified Gravity® Instructor.
MARIAMA BENNETT

In August of 2007, Mariama left her 10 year career in banking to pursue her passion for fitness fulltime and joined the Wave team as the Health Club Manager for Second Wave Health & Fitness, the corporate gym for John Hancock employees. Her fitness career began as a Group Fitness Class Instructor and her energy and motivation to help others can be seen in variety of her classes. Throughout her career she has directed and implemented Group Exercise and Boot Camp programs. She has conducted fitness classes and seminars educating employees on the importance of work/ life balance and incorporating health as a lifestyle. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer and enjoys encouraging her clients to recognize their full potential by achieving their health and fitness objectives with tools for circuit training, strength training and weight loss. Working closely with John Hancock gave her the opportunity to complete her first Boston Marathon in April of 2008. She is CPR/AED certified from the American Heart Association, and Mariama is also a certified Gravity® Instructor. .
MAGGIE CONNORS

Maggie is an A.C.E. Certified Personal Trainer. She enjoys working with a variety of people helping them achieve their fitness goals whether it is for weight loss, muscle tone and flexibility, overall strength gain or cardiovascular fitness. She has helped clients prepare for triathlons, ice skating competitions, long distance bike rides, marathons, golf, skiing and tennis. Her pool workouts may be used for strength, cardio or swim instruction. In addition to one on one training Maggie enjoys teaching Boot Camp, Circuit/ Spin and Strengthen and Lengthen classes. Her own exercise routine includes triathlon training, dancing, roller blading, skiing, pilates and yoga. Her work as fitness professional and an artist are inspired by the idea that a body in motion is a body in good health. Previous education includes a BFA degree from UMass Amherst, an MFA degree with a concentration in sculpture from the Maryland Institute, College of Art and a certification from the Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA. She is CPR/AED certified from the American Heart Association, and Maggie is also a certified Gravity® Instructor.
AMY CRABTREE

Amy is a Certified Personal Trainer through AFAA and a Certified Fitness Class Instructor. Amy began her fitness career as a Group exercise instructor and found a passion for helping people build healthy lifestyles and gaining self confidence. She teaches a wide variety of classes like Seasonal Boot Camps, Weight-lifting, Kickboxing and Jump rope. She has done various motivational speeches and volunteered at Health fairs to educate others on how physical activity can improve the quality of life and fight depression. Amy is CPR/AED certified from the American Heart Association.

Julie Tucci, MS, RD, LDN is a Registered Dietitian focused on helping clients reach their wellness and nutritional goals in both individual and group settings. Julie received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a focus in Exercise Science from UMASS, Amherst. During the time she worked as an ACE certified personal trainer, Julie earned a MS in Food and Nutrition from Framingham State College. She currently specializes in adult and pediatric wellness, teaching her clients how to eat right in order to feel and perform their best.

Ashley Norwood is a certified Wellness Coach and an American College of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer. She works with clients across the U.S. who want to improve their physical and emotional well-being. By creating a supportive structure, accountability and giving expert advice she helps people bridge the gap between what they know they should be doing and doing it consistently.
COREY HARRAGHY
Certified Personal Trainer
Corey Harraghy is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. He enjoys working with clients of all ages and fitness goals, and has specialties in training cardio for sport endurance, flexibility, pre/post natal, and TRX. Corey has been an athlete since the age of 12 participating in swimming, track, football, golf and a variety of other team sports. He played football into college, currently is on a semi-professional football league, and participates in a men's baseball league.
Through all of these sports Corey quickly realized how important strength training is not only for sport conditioning but overall fitness; he immediately fell in love with fitness and never looked back.
His training style is practical, dynamic, and appropriate for his clients’ overall fitness goals and lifestyle. Corey’s previous education includes a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He is also CPR/AED certified from the American Heart Association.
